In spring of 2023 I set out to Herkulesberg in Cologne to capture the
rapidly growing vegetation right before summer arrives. The forest area
lies on Cologne's largest mound of rubble and was constructed after
World War II.
As I roam through the green thicket, I appreciate
the diversity and regenerative power of the vegetation, which has been
taken for granted until now. Periods of drought and heat are predicted
for Europe in the near future.
